Great value, great choice and great service…

Bringy Furniture has been trading from the same site in Great Baddow, Chelmsford for more than fifty years. During that time, we have built up an enviable reputation for giving our customers great value, great choice and great service.

This reputation is hard earned and is based on our company ethos of understanding that every customer has a choice and that they are under no obligation whatsoever to buy anything from us. Unlike many companies, we do not believe in a ‘hard sell’ and we never harass a customer in to making a purchase. Instead, we believe that if we are at all times honest with our customers, they will feel comfortable about making any purchase and will also be happy to tell their friends about us too. We do not advertise greatly but rely upon the old fashioned way of doing business i.e. word of mouth. This has served us very well over the years.

We will always greet our customers with a friendly hello on arrival at the shop and then leave them in peace to wander round the shop to get an idea of what we offer in terms of furniture, lighting and home accessories. After ten or fifteen minutes, we then like to offer our customers a brochure or two in order to help them understand the sheer breadth of our ranges. Advice and ideas are always readily available too but only on customers’ terms.

Some customers spend an hour or two in the shop considering all their options and we will then offer them a free cup of tea or coffee, once again without any pressure. We understand that you might like unhurried, unpressurised time to browse what we have to offer.

We have a full delivery service and deliver many items to our customers. We appreciate that however good our sales staff may have been, it is vital that our delivery team are also polite and respectful at all times and we fully appreciate that a customer will only remember a poorly handled delivery (and nothing preceding that) if they are not professional at all times. Whether you are local to our shop, or half way across the country you will get the same service with a smile.

Similarly, we understand that once a customer has bought a piece of furniture and it is residing in their home, they still continue to be our customer. In the unlikely event of a problem occurring after a sale, we will ALWAYS strive to solve any problem as smoothly and with the minimum of inconvenience to the customer as possible.

That is why, after more than fifty years of business, Bringy Furniture is still trading and continues to thrive in a very competitive environment.
